Bad Luck Strikes Again...

My car died a week ago and as a result I was unable to successfully coupon this past week. I did make a few runs, but they are undocumented because I simply did not have the time.

I have since found two part time jobs in an attempt to get another car ASAP.
Couponing will slow, but not disappear.
Who am I kidding? I still can't afford not to coupon at this point.
Wish me luck!

Posts to follow starting Sunday.

Happy couponing!

I did manage to score some additional ECBs though I am not sure of the total. Somewhere around $20. I also snagged another $10 gas card and another $10 in Amazon gift cards from Swagbucks.
In other news Mr. Rebates has removed ebay from their list of eligible stores. Official statement, "At eBay’s request, in accordance with a test they are currently conducting for the next several months, cash-back rebates for eBay has been temporarily suspended. This means cash-back will not be available on Mr. Rebates (or any other site on the Internet) for any purchases made on eBay on or after 6/16/11." So I will still be cashing out my previously earned money, but I will no longer be earning on ANY of my ebay purchases. Boo! Cashed out $35.08 on July 1st.

Since my last post I have accumulated another 1,220 Swagbucks.

Question from a reader...

Q: I was wondering how the $10 gas card works? do you build the total or buy $30 at the same time.

A: Because CVS has a card that keeps track of your spending for their deals you do not need to buy the prescribed total at one time to earn the reward. That is the advantage of the Extra Care Card. Check out my many posts and you will see how I am splitting up most of their deals in order to maximize my coupons.

For example...this week CVS has a baby deal where you spend $25 and get back $10 in Extra Care bucks. I purchased one tub of Similac formula for $22 yesterday and will go back for my remaining balance either today or tomorrow. I even used a FREE coupon and the $22 still counts towards my total. More details here. I heart CVS.
